Blueberries and lavender farm!

The Lavender Farm

We went on a small hiking trip, which happened to have a great view!

…and some snow 🙂

The Blueberry Farm

Hey everyone! 🙂

So the last two and a half weeks have been craaazy! Everything is new, I’m meeting lots of amazing people, the first game is on friday so we had a big chant check off today (apparently I did”awesome” :)) and school starts next week 🙂 I’ll try to keep you updated, but things are a little crazy 🙂

The first week!

Waiting in the airport with Kathrine and Johanne 🙂

My family made all these beautiful welcome-signs 🙂

We went iceskating, which I already told you about here!

Then I went to see Ella play soccer (She’s the one in pink, running with the ball :))

Went mini-golfing… twice haha 😀

The first week has been great so far 🙂 Yesterday was my first cheer practice and it was so much fun! The coach called me afterwards and said that I did great so that’s good! Today I’ve mostly just been practicing a lot of cheer chants, and then my area rep came over to check that everything was going well 🙂 She’s so sweet!

Take care,

Practical stuff

This day basically went with during practical stuff 🙂 Todd (dad) and I went to the athletic department and got all my paperwork done for cheerleading, so now I’m ready to go! Cheerleading starts tomorrow, and I’m pretty nervous but also super excited 🙂 I met the varsity coach today (I’m on the junior varsity team) and she was so sweet, and I’ve just been added to the Juanita Cheerleading group on facebook which makes it all a bit more real 😀 Okay I’ll shut up about my cheerleading now haha 🙂

Well afterwards we went to this phone store, and got a new sim-card for my iPhone, so now I have a american number uhh exciting 😉 I was really lucky today, I was going to get a new charger for my phone and computer (mine doesn’t work over here) so in the phone store I could get it half price, because Todd had this like discount thing, so that was really cool! Then I went to a Mac Store to get like a new like charger thing for my computer, kind of hard to explain but on a apple computer you don’t need a new charger you can just get like a new like plug, well anyways, they’re normally like 39$ but the really nice guy in the store said that he couldn’t find the price tag, so I got it for free!!! wuhuuu!!

I’m feeling so lucky, I’m kind of scared it’ll turn around soon arhhhh!!!

The rest of the day I just worked on some cheer chants (I’ll stop now don’t worry), ohh and yeah I got a new calendar to keep track of all the practices, games, fundraisers and school stuff! 😀 😀

Iceskating and cheerleading

Today we went iceskating, which is kind of ironic since it’s so warm outside, but then we got cooled down, which was nice! It was so much fun, it must be like eight years since I did it the last time! 😀 Tomorrow I’m going over to my school because I’m signing up for cheerleading, well I’m kind of already on the team, we just have to get some paperwork done! 😀 Practice starts tuesday and I’m sooo nervous, but also really excited! 😀

After we’ve done all the paperwork, I’m going to a mall to get a new charger for my computer and IPhone, and a new sim-card for my phone 😀

I’m alive… and having a great time!

Hey sweethearts!

So I’m the States now, and my host-familiy is so perfect and so sweet! I had a loooong plane-ride (well three long) and I kind of realized that I wasn’t going to see my family and friends really quickly (some of the other YFU students hadn’t realized it yet) so I was really homesick all the way over! The first night was hard, but I’m having so much fun now! 😀 I’ve only been homesick once because I’m starting cheerleading practice on tuesday and I’m so nervous, so I got really homesick!!

Today I went mini-golfing and I’ve been playing a lot with the kids, they’re so sweet! 😀 I think this is going to be an amazing year!

Did I tell you my family is amazing? Probably… 😀 😀 😀

Take care,

One week left

Hey sweeties!

So I’m back and with exiting stuff to tell you! Today there’s only one week left until I leave for the states and I’m super exited and nervous and stressed and happy… well my emotions is pretty f****d up 😀 With only one week left I felt it appropriate to tell you just a bit about my host family! I’m going to live with my american mum Lynette, dad Todd, little sister Ella, who 8 years old, and little brother Cooper, 4 years old! I’ve already written a lot with them, and they’re so amazingly sweet! Todd is currently participating in “Race Across America” aren’t that super inspiring and a tiny bit insane?!? 😀

With only one week left, my calendar is pretty booked. I have a lot of people to see and goodbye to say, which is hard but also good, because I’m sure they’ll be there when I get home again 🙂

One of the first posts on the new “USA edition Life’s A Catwalk” 😀

Take care,
